According to preliminary statistics of VPA, from the beginning of the year to the end of November 2022, Vietnam exported over 211,000 tons of pepper of all kinds and earned more than 911 million USD. Vietnam's pepper exports will reach nearly 230,000 tons worth 970 million USD for the whole year, up 2% compared to 2021.
A workshop on Vietnam's pepper and spice exports under the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement organized by VPA in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday said the pepper industry needs to focus on improving the quality and processing rate to create added value.
