Vietnam reports 16 more cases of COVID-19 in Hai Duong
(VOVWORLD) -An additional 16 people have been infected with coronavirus in the northern province of Hai Duong, the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot, the National Steering Committee on COVID-19 Prevention and Control said in its 18.00hrs update.
February 7 is the 12th day since the new outbreaks were detected in Hai Duong and Quang Ninh and the epidemic has so far spread to 11 other localities across Vietnam.
Vietnam has so far reported a total of 2,001 cases.
The Ministry of Health said on Sunday that the WHO-initiated COVAX program announced the initial sharing of 4.8 to 8.2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine for Vietnam. The AZD1222 vaccine made by AstraZeneca will be delivered to Vietnam in batches from now to the second quarter of this year.
