Vietnam responds to World Antibiotic Awareness Week
(VOVworld) – On Saturday, more than 700 representatives from ministries and sectors participated in a meeting to mark the World Antibiotic Awareness Week. The event was held by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization in Vietnam.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said antibiotic resistance poses a great threat to human life. She called on physicians and the public to be more cautious in using antibiotic: “Medical staff should be strictly follow medical directions Patients should use antibiotic under the doctors’ prescription. Medicine should be sold as prescribed. The revised Pharmacy Law provides strict regulations and positive measures to control medicine”.
