(VOVworld) - Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan on Tuesday held talks with Republic of Korean (RoK) President Park Geun-hye. Doan, who was in Seoul for Park’s swearing-in ceremony, brought the Korean President congratulatory messages from President Truong Tan Sang and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. Ms Doan affirmed that Vietnam wants to further its strategic cooperation partnership with the RoK, and expressed her hope that the Korean government will continue to help the Vietnamese community in Korea integrate into local society. 

President Park said the Korean government is particularly interested in developing ties with Vietnam and will do its best to help Vietnam raise bilateral trade to 30 billion USD. She said she will assist the Vietnamese community in her country, and in particular will help Vietnamese women married to Korean men live a happy life in Korea. Vice President Doan met with leaders of three Korean economic groups - Lotte, Chamvit and LG- and staff from the Vietnamese embassy.
