Vietnam, Russia form model relationship
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Russia are forming a model relationship, said Grigory Trophimchuk, President of the Asia-Europe Initiative Research Fund.

During his recent visit to Vietnam, Mr. Tromphimchuck highlighted achievements in bilateral ties, noting that Vietnam is always regarded as an important partner of Russia. Vietnam was the first country to sign a Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam-Russia cooperation in the context of the EAEU is not competitive, but rather a model of bilateral relations. Russian experts were optimistic about the goal of seeing 10 billion USD in bilateral trade in 2020. He said the two countries have large populations and great cooperative potential especially in regional tourism and high tech projects. He praised Vietnam’s growing role in Southeast Asia and the region.
