Vietnam seeks increased cooperation in agriculture with Israel
(VOVworld) – The head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Economic Affairs Vuong Dinh Hue held a working session with Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Uri Ariel and paid a courtesy visit to former President Shimon Peres on Tuesday.
He thanked the Israeli government for helping train Vietnamese students in agriculture and called for continued cooperation in the future. Minister Uri Ariel valued the two countries’ cooperation potential in agricultural development and restructuring. Former Israeli President Shimon Perez said he supported negotiations of an Israel-Vietnam FTA to further promote bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation. Mr. Hue asked the former Israeli president to continue to promote bilateral economic cooperation towards 2 billion USD in import-export revenues this year and the coming years.
