Corazon Valdez Fabros, who is in charge of peace and security affairs at the Asia Europe People’s Forum and is a member of the WPC, called the selection of Vietnam as the host of the 22nd WPC a sound decision by the Council, especially when Vietnam is about to celebrate 50 years since the 1973 Paris Peace Accords – the agreement that ended the war and restored peace in Vietnam.
