Vietnam, Sierra Leone strengthen bilateral cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Sierra Leone have agreed to tap each other’s potential and strength and pledged to implement signed agreements to boost trade ties, including the trade of rice, and create favorable conditions for their businesses to expand cooperation.

During talks on Tuesday, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and visiting President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties in the future.
They agreed to maintain exchanges of delegation at all levels, work closely, and support each other at multilateral forums, especially at the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, and expand cooperation via the African Union.

They agreed to make agriculture a pillar in bilateral cooperation and share experience to boost agricultural cooperation bilaterally and trilaterally with an international development agency or a developed country and private sector.
After the talks, the 2 Presidents witnessed the signing of three bilateral agreements on diplomacy, agriculture and fisheries – a foundation for stronger cooperation between the 2 countries.
The same day, President Julius Maada Bio met Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
