(VOVworld) – People in the northern province of Vinh Phuc will receive medical check-ups in primary healthcare, pediatrics, dental services, and optometry from Singaporean and Vietnamese military doctors. At a working session in Singapore on Tuesday, the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps agreed to send 30 doctors to work with Vietnamese colleagues in the Vietnamese Ministry of Defence’s Military Medicine Department during the 4-day examination next week in Vinh Phuc province. The Singaporean doctors will dispense free medicine and eye glasses.

This is the first time the two military medical departments have cooperated in humanitarian medical treatment. The Singaporean doctors will share their experience in humanitarian aid, high availability disaster recovery (HADR), and peace keeping activities.
