(VOVworld) – The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Radio and Television of Slovakia signed a cooperative agreement in Hanoi on Thursday.

Signatories were VOV President Nguyen The Ky and President of Radio and television of Slovakia Vaclav Mika. Slovakian Ambassador to Vietnam Igor Pacolak attended the ceremony.
Under the deal, the stations will work with each other to broadcast and exchange radio and TV programs that introduce the culture, economics, tourism, land, and people of each country.
The two media agencies will cooperate in broadcasting production, holding seminars, and professional training.

VOV President Nguyen The Ky said at the signing ceremony: “The signing of the agreement will contribute to enhancing the traditional relations, mutual understanding between the two countries, and the two peoples, promoting the image of Vietnam and Slovakia, and elevating the bilateral multi-faceted cooperation. With the signing of the first cooperative agreement, we will believe in the new, strong, and sustainable development between the two media agencies of Vietnam and Slovakia in the future.”

Vaclav Mika, President of the Radio and Television of Slovakia, said: “Slovakia was the important technological, industrial, and education and scientific partner of Vietnam. Nowadays, Slovakia is a full member of European Union, is able to assist the Social Republic of Vietnam in its global position in the world. The signing will create a modern, mutual understanding in the culture, economics, and tourism through radio broadcasting and television broadcasting... I believe the signing of the cooperation agreement between VOV and Radio Slovakia will start a new period of our relationship.”
