(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam Social Security on Thursday launched a nationwide program to give gifts to disadvantaged patients being treated at hospitals to bring them a warm Lunar New Year 2023.

Nguyen The Manh, VSS Director General, said: “The program is funded by donations from VSS employees, which we hope will boost the morale of patients for the New Year. This is a simple activity to demonstrate the Vietnamese people’s tradition 'Love other human beings as you love yourself.'"
Through its fund raising activities, VSS has given 16,000 social insurance books and 130.000 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances throughout the country.
