Vietnam speeds up vaccination, strengthens COVID-19 response
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Tuesday signed an official dispatch on speeding up vaccination and implementation of measures to fight COVID-19.

He asked the Heads of the local Steering Committees for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and Chairpersons of the local People's Committees to work to raise people's awareness about health protection and measures to respond to the new virus variant Omicron.
The provinces and centrally-run cities are responsible for accelerating the vaccination campaign, ensuring safety and effectiveness according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the goals set by the Government. Mobile teams should urgently administer vaccines at home for those who cannot go to the place of vaccination, according to the dispatch.
The Ministry of Health is responsible for ensuring that there are enough vaccines for prevention and drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 and boosting the domestic vaccine production.
The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to work with the Ministry of Education and Training and relevant agencies to study and consult international and domestic experiences on the imports of vaccines and vaccination against COVID-19 for children under 18 years old.
