(VOVworld) - The 61st session of Joint Committee on the Status of Women (CSW) opened at United Nations Headquarters in New York from March 14th to March 23th.

The theme of this session was "Empowering economic rights for women in the changing world of employment’’. Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Dao Ngoc Dung, delivered a speech in a session to promote the initiative on household farming promotion. He reiterated Vietnam’s compliance with the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women while ensuring equal opportunities for female farmers to benefit from legitimate rights and benefits, especially in its building of new rural areas.
