Vietnam supports UNSC reforms

(VOVWORLD) - The UN General Assembly discussed equitable representation on, and an increase in the membership of the Security Council at a meeting on Wednesday attended by 170 countries.

Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the UN, said Vietnam supports reforms to ensure representation, democracy, transparency, and efficiency for the UNSC.
Vietnam also supports a plan to increase the number of permanent and non-permanent Security Council members in order to improve equitable representation for underrepresented developing countries.
