(VOVworld) – Vietnam earned 552 million USD in seafood exports in January, up 13.9% from the same period last year.
According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), to fulfill this year’s target of 6.7 billion USD, greater attention should be paid to China, one of the leading importers of Vietnam’s seafood products. China has surpassed the Republic of Korea to become Vietnam’s 4th largest seafood importer after the US, the EU, and Japan. With relatively high economic growth and large demands, China is considered a potential market for Vietnamese seafood producers.
