Vietnam Teachers’ Day celebrated
(VOVWORLD) -Senior Vietnamese leaders visited outstanding teachers on the 35th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day, November 20.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited Emeritus pianist Thai Thi Lien, one of the founders of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, well-known writer Vu Tu Nam, and sculptor Ta Quang Ba, who won the State Award for Literature and Art.
During a visit to Huynh Van Hoang, former Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said the city will adopt more high quality human resource development programs to meet the demands of international integration.

For his part, Mr. Hoang said: “I am very happy that we observe Vietnam Teachers’ Day to remember the merit of teachers. This is an opportunity to see my former students, who still respect their teacher, no matter what position they have attained.”
In Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended a ceremony to mark Vietnam Teachers’ Day and the 40th anniversary of the Post-graduate Training Institute of the National Economics University.
