(VOVworld) – On Thursday Vietnam and Thailand issued a joint press release as part of Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s visit to Thailand.

Both countries welcomed the exchange of high-ranking visits, the implementation of an action plan in regards to the Vietnam-Thailand strategic partnership from 2014 to 2018, consolidation of cooperation in politics, security, trade and investment, and the deepening of relations in culture, society, and education.
Vietnam and Thailand agreed on speeding up the implementation of agreements and initiatives through which to strengthen the effectiveness of bilateral ties.
Both sides also consented to the organization of activities in each other’s countries in 2016 to mark the 40th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties.
Vietnamese and Thai leaders reiterated the commitment to not allow any individuals or organizations to use the other nation’s territory to conduct acts of sabotage against the other country.
PM Nguyen Tan Dung and his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-ocha discussed regional issues of mutual concern, praised coordination between the two countries in regional forums and reached a consensus on increased cooperation, especially within the ASEAN.
The two leaders expressed their satisfaction at the outcomes of the visit which has made remarkable contributions to bilateral friendship and strategic partnership.
