In its recent publication, Le Petit Journal wrote that Vietnam has been the only country in Southeast Asia having enjoyed two consecutive years of positive growth, 2.9% in 2020 and 2.58% last year given the world severely affected by the pandemic. It attributed continuous policy improvement as a momentum for growth. Since the launching of renovation in 1986, Vietnam has seen the highest growth rate in the world with an average of 6.55% annually.

Ngo Dang Khoa, an executive in charge of Monetary, Capital Market and Securities, HSBC Vietnam, shared the view: “We are absolutely optimistic about Vietnam’s economic outlook and its new Asian tiger prospective. Vietnam has been the leading country in FDI attraction with disbursement rising by 7.8% in the first 5 months of this year. This reflects foreign investors' confidence in its economic growth potential”
