Vietnam to begin human trials of 2nd homegrown COVID-19 vaccine earlier than scheduled
(VOVWORLD) - Human trials of a second made-in-Vietnam COVID-19 vaccine will start in January, 2 months ahead of schedule.
The vaccine is developed by the Institute of Vaccines and Medical Biologicals (IVAC). The first phase of human trials of Nanocovax vaccine developed by Vietnamese business Nanogen began last month.
IVAC said it expects to complete all 3 phases of clinical trials and begin production of the vaccine by the end of this year at the earliest.
