Vietnam to benefit more from global value chain
(VOVWORLD) - Country Director for the World Bank in Vietnam, Ousmane Dione, praised Vietnam’s successful integration in parts of the global value chain to create jobs and reduce poverty.

Addressing a seminar on two reports on Vietnam’s participation in the global value chain and SME’s competitiveness improvement, Mr Dione urged Vietnam to raise added value through policy initiatives in transport, border services and regional integration. The reports agreed on positive impact from added values to closer connectivity between domestic and foreign enterprises in uplifting value chain position. Delegates expected more FDI flows and employment for local suppliers.
