Vietnam to deepen friendship, multifaceted cooperation with Cuba
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh talked by phone with Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz on Thursday to discuss measures to enhance the special traditional friendship and comprehensive and trustworthy cooperation between the two countries.

The leaders exchanged experience in fighting COVID-19 and prospects for cooperation in vaccine production. They pledged to direct ministries and agencies to share their expertise and reach an agreement on Cuba providing COVID-19 vaccines and transferring of vaccine production technology to Vietnam.
The two Prime Ministers said they believe the Vietnam-Cuba relationship will enter a new development phase, particularly in economy, trade, and investment.
They vowed to support each other in international forums. Mr. Chinh said that despite their distance geographically, Vietnam always stands by Cuba and supports Cuba in all situations. He said Vietnam strongly support’s UN Security Council Resolutions calling for an end of embargo against Cuba.
