Vietnam to eliminate malaria by 2030
(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health has reviewed efforts to eradicate malaria in the border provinces.
Speaking to a workshop on Thursday, Director of the Central Institute of Malaria, Parasitology and Entomology, Dr Nguyen Quang Thieu, reiterated Vietnam’s determination to eliminate malaria by 2030 with practical measures to ensure early diagnosis and treatment. Delegates recommended other ways to ensure the elimination of malaria, in particular sustaining national financing toward that end and integrating malaria surveillance activities into other communicable disease surveillance activities.
