Vietnam to have access to COVID-19 vaccine in 2021
(VOVWORLD) - 200,000 Vietnamese are expected to have access to a COVID-19 vaccine next year as Vietnam is one of 92 countries taking part in the global vaccine plan of the COVID-19 Vaccine Global Access Facility.
At a workshop to discuss COVID-19 vaccines held by the Ministry of Health and the British embassy on Wednesday, Britain’s Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs promised to provide 50 million pounds to help ASEAN countries deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. 38 vaccines are now in clinical trials around the world.
At least one Vietnamese vaccine is expected to enter the second or third phase of clinical trials next year.
