This is the third race in the Vietnam Trail Series held by Topas, the organiser of the Vietnam Mountain Marathon, one of the biggest ultra-running events in Asia. Nguyen Thi Hoa, Vice Chairwoman of the Moc Chau district’s People’s Committee, said they have made extensive preparations to ensure the success of the biggest sports event ever staged in the area. “With 180 hotels, we will be able to provide services for an increasing number of visitors to Moc Chau. The health sector will closely monitor food safety and hygiene. People along the running trail are stationed to cheer on the runners to show their support. We have 33 security and medical units along the trail in case of emergency.”
The 70km-ultra runners will start at 4am. They will begin therace with their headlamps on and run through blossoming orchards at sunrise. The route will take them through stunning trails, past remote villages and will eventually finish at the Heart Tea Hill (Đồi Chè Trái Tim).
As in previous races by Topas, each runner will contribute 20 USD to a charity fund.
