Ms. Thinh said the Party, State and people of Vietnam always treasure and wish to deepen the strategic cooperative partnership with the RoK, in line with the common perception of the two countries’ leaders. She added that the two countries should expand cultural and people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in education and tourism, while supporting, protecting and providing favorable conditions for each other’s citizens. The Acting President called for stronger cooperation to increase bilateral trade to 100 billion USD by 2020.

For his part, PM Lee said that the RoK wishes to cooperate with and assist Vietnam in areas of its strength such as science-technology, infrastructure, smart city, clean energy, human resources training, public administration, and e-government building. He said the RoK Government will create favorable environment for the Vietnamese communities to lead a stable life in the country, making them firm bridges for promoting the bilateral friendship.
