Vietnam unveils new archaeological discoveries
(VOVWORLD) - Hue Relics Preservation Center and the Vietnam Archaeological Institute have introduced new discoveries at a conference in Hue city on Friday.

They include the excavation and study of the complex of relics dating back to the paleolithic age in An Khe town, Gia Lai province, a stone drill in Hoa Loc, and an DNA analysis cooperation program between Vietnam and Denmark.
Associate professor, Doctor Nguyen Giang Hai, Director of the Vietnam Archaeological Institute said archaeologists discovered many tools for chopping and cutting and meteorites dating back 800,000 years ago. Mr. Hai said: “The Institute will work with Russian archaeologists to study the values of the paleolithic age in An Khe, Gia Lai province. It’s an important discovery in the world. We’ll work with UNESCO experts in an underwater archaeological project. DNA study will tell us valuable information of ancient people’s origin.”
