Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of AO/Dioxin, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Rinh, said this is the meeting of those who have the same pain and are united in the struggle for justice. He noted that he hopes the representatives will become a bridge connecting victims and international organizations.
Head of the US delegation, Heather Bowser, said Children of Vietnam Veterans Health Alliance and the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will organize cultural exchange programs and send delegations of Vietnamese AO victims to the US to lobby for the approval of a bill on AO victim relief. She expressed her hope that the two sides will continue uniting victims around the world to fight chemical warfare
