Vietnam, US seek to strengthen innovation cooperation
(VOVWORLD) -Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung urged the Vietnam Innovation Network (NIC) in Silicon Valley to connect with top experts, schools, and organizations worldwide to support Vietnam in developing its semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation.

At a working session in San Francisco on June 22, Minister Dung called on NIC members to collaborate with major US technology partners to establish research facilities and factories in Vietnam, and encourage the participation of Vietnamese and international experts.
He asked companies like ARM, Marvell, and Google to create plans for investing in Vietnam, cooperate with Vietnam in human resource training and development, and open a representative office and R&D center at the NIC facility in Hoa Lac.
The Minister called on Google to elevate its relationship with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to a comprehensive strategic partnership to push high-tech investments in Vietnam and cooperation with the NIC.
