(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang said Vietnam values friendship and cooperation with Cambodia during talks with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni following a welcoming ceremony in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.

The two said they hope that the two countries will soon complete land border delineation and marker planting toward building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation, and development. President Sang asked King Sihamoni to help stabilize the lives of Vietnamese people in Cambodia.

King Sihamoni said the Cambodian people will never forget the valuable support provided by the Vietnamese Party, government, and people. He also pledged to continue nurturing the long friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

The same day, President Sang laid wreaths at the Independence Monument, the Monument of King Norodom Sihanouk, and the Memorial Monument of Vietnamese Volunteer Soldiers who died in Cambodia.
