(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh has proposed that Vietnam and India deepen their strategic partnership with a focus on politics, defence, security, economics, science, technology, oil, and gas.

Presenting his credentials to Indian President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday, the ambassador noted the importance of people-to-people exchanges in multilateral forums. Mr. Thanh said Vietnam continues to back India’s “Look East” policy and initiatives on connectivity with Southeast Asia and supports India’s expanding role in regional and international forums.
