(VOVworld) - The Vietnamese Government and people want to promote the traditional friendship with Tanzania, Vietnamese ambassador to Tanzania Vo Thanh Nam told Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete at a recent ceremony to present his credentials.

Nam said he will spare no effort during his term to consolidate friendship and cooperation between the two nations, especially in economics, trade, agriculture, and telecommunications.

President Kikwete praised the Vietnamese people’s courage in their struggle for national independence, freedom, and reunification. He added he hopes the two countries will continue bolstering their ties in all aspects, including the relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Revolutionary Party of Tanzania.
