(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front held a seminar to explore smart city models in Hanoi on Friday. Addressing the event, the front president, Nguyen Thien Nhan, said Vietnam has more than 770 cities accommodating one third of the population and contributing 60% of the national GDP. He said urban development has faced numerous challenges: “Urban development has gained interests in many countries as it brought about opportunities to businesses and citizens in smart city models. This could begin from smart models in urban management, zoning and lifestyles.”
