Vietnam wants to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Myanmar
(VOVworld)- Vietnam is willing to strengthen comprehensive cooperation with Myanmar and share experiences in reform and international integration.
Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF), made the remark at Wednesday’s meeting in Naypyidaw with Thura U Shwe Mann, Chairman of Myanmar’s Assembly Union and the House of Representatives.

Nhan said the Communist Party of Vietnam and Myanmar’s ruling party, Union Solidarity and Development Party have had good relations since the latter was established in 2010. He noted that the two parties will continue promoting cooperation through exchange of information, delegations and state administration experience and expressed his wish to receive Thura U Shwe Mann during the upcoming General Assembly of the Inter-parliamentary Union in Vietnam.
The same day, during a talk with U Nay Win Tun, Chairman of Myanmar-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Association, Nhan suggested both sides increase people-to-people exchanges and cooperation between localities of the two countries, towards the 40th anniversary of their diplomatic ties this year.
