Vietnam will take firm steps in the cause of socialism building: Sri Lanka leader
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and State President To Lam will continue leading the Communist Party of Vietnam to take firm steps in the cause of building socialism, said the top leader of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka G. Weerasinghe.

In a recent interview granted to the Vietnam News Agency, Weerasinghe said he believes that Vietnam will maintain its political stability and social order, record socio-economic achievements, and promote its role and position in the region and the globe.
Vietnam’s priorities in its foreign policy are very methodical and logical, proving themselves as a reasonable approach, Weerasinghe said, referring to Lam’s inauguration speech on August 3.
As an ASEAN member, Vietnam will continue to honor its priorities to its neighbors and strategic and comprehensive partners, he continued, expressing his belief that with this approach, Vietnam will consolidate political trust, common interests, and cooperation with its partners, while contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world.
