Vietnam wins first ASIAD silver medal in swimming
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has bagged a silver for swimming and a bronze for rowing at the Asian Games (ASIAD) 2018 in Indonesia.

Nguyen Huy Hoang took the silver in swimming after he finished the men's 1,500 meter freestyle in 15 minutes 1 second. This has been the first ASIAD silver medal ever for a Vietnamese swimmer.
By 4.30pm on Saturday, Vietnam ranked 17th in the ASIAD 2018’s medal tally with one gold, 6 silver and 9 bronze medals. China kept its first position with 69 gold medals, followed by Japan and South Korea. The Vietnamese delegation has 352 athletes.
