(VOVWORLD) - Tran Xuan Tung, a 12th grader at Hanoi-Amsterdam high school, won a gold medal at the 12th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA), which ended Sunday in China.

His teammates brought home 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. This is the 3rd time Vietnam has participated in the annual competition. This year’s IOAA was attended by more than 200 students from 39 countries.
