Vietnam wishes to bolster legislative ties with Japan

(VOVworld) - National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan held talks with Speaker of the House of Representative of Japan’s parliament Tadamori Oshima in Tokyo on Tuesday, during which she proposed that the two sides increase delegation exchanges to foster legislative ties.

Ngan, who is visiting Japan and attending the World Assembly for Woman 2015, expressed delight at the growing partnership between the two countries as well as their two legislative bodies. She said that Vietnam always pursues an active and proactive bilateral and multilateral external relations policy, contributing to peace and stability in the region and the world. Regarding the East Sea issue, both sides agreed that the matter should be dealt with through peaceful measures in line with international law.

On the same day, Ngan met with Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Hideaki Momichi, visited the Vietnamese embassy in Japan and Takigawa company, which has received many Vietnamese interns and practitioners.
