Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Tran Hong Ha, said the circular economic model should remove any negative impact on the environment, thus improve international competitiveness, make full use of resources while minimizing emission.

He suggested solutions to promote the circular economy in Vietnam, saying “Circular economic development should be an inevitable way to improve the growth quality and cope with climate change. The Party Politburo is recommended to issue a resolution on circular economy where the community and the public should be at the center. That’s followed by the development of circular urban, industry, eco-industrial parks and sustainable consumption.”

Minister of Agricultural and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong praised the development of commodity farming in connection with new rural area towards modernity and international integration. 

"In the social economic development orientation over the next 5 years, the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development agrees with the draft documents promoting the modern, large scale and centralized commodity farming development with value added and sustainable development,' said Minister Cuong, adding, "Green and smart agriculture should be ready to cope with climate change, focusing on the three pillars of economy, the society and the environment toward smart farming, international integration, climate change adaptation, value added and sustainable growth, and prosperous new rural areas with wealthy farmers.”
