Vietnamese abroad welcome Year of the Ox
(VOVWORLD) - Overseas Vietnamese (OVs) across the world are celebrating the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.

At a Spring gathering at the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan on Thursday, Ambassador Vu Hong Nam praised the OV community’s mutual support and the efforts made by Vietnamese representative offices in the host country during COVID-19.
He called on the Embassy staff and representatives of other Vietnamese agencies in Japan to try harder this year to fulfill the assigned tasks thus deepening the bilateral extensive strategic partnership between the two countries.

On New Year’s Eve, Vietnamese people living and working in Laos gathered at Vietnamese pagodas in Vientiane to ring in the New Year, praying for peace and prosperity.
