(VOVworld) – There is great potential for Vietnam and Germany – the world’s fourth largest economy – to strengthen all-round ties, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Doan Xuan Hung told Vietnam News Agency correspondents.

Hung said since Vietnam and Germany established their strategic partnership, the two countries have reinforced their friendship and seen strong development of their political and economic ties. Vietnam should take advantage of existing potential and opportunities to reinforce and promote the bilateral ties, Hung said. Over the past five years, Germany has been one of Vietnam’s leading trade partners in the EU. Hung said German President Joachim Gauck is awaiting President Truong Tan Sang’s upcoming State visit to Germany.
