Vietnamese banana, macadamia preferred in foreign market
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s export of macadamia increased 100% last year, while banana export also recorded a surge of 50%.

The General Department of Customs said the export of fruit and nuts such as macadamia, walnut, and almonds earned 2.36 billion USD last year, an increase of 8% against 2020.
The export of some varieties of fruit surged sharply with mango earning 258 million USD, banana 232.7 million USD, and jackfruit 182 million USD.
The Vietnam Association of Vegetable and Fruit said the COVID-19 pandemic has not greatly affected the production and processing of vegetables and fruits. The demand for tropical fruit from Vietnam has increased in the US, the EU, and South Korea.
