According to a report called “ASEAN Consumer Sentiment Study", three of four Vietnamese respondents said they expect to be better off financially by June of next year.
The survey also reveals that the preference for digital banking and payment continues to trend strongly. Consumers favor mobile banking apps and new digital payment modes like e-wallets, QR code-based payment, e-commerce platforms, and mobile wallet debit and credit cards.
Paul Kim, head of Personal Financial Services at UOB Vietnam said Vietnam’s strong economic growth has given consumers more optimism about their financial wellbeing compared to their peers in the region.
