The Peruvian Embassy and the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association organized a workshop on Peru’s cocoa. 30 delegates including representatives from Vietnamese coffee import and export companies, journalists, and coffee connoisseurs attended the workshop and enjoyed Peru’s best coffee. Chargé d'affaires of the Peruvian Embassy Luis Tsuboyama said some people may not expect that Peru is exporting coffee.
When talking about coffee, the first thing that comes to your minds is Brazil and Colombia. But Peru exports coffee because it has good soil and weather. Peru produces Arabica. He said: “Peru is not a big exporter. We are, what we call, a boutique exporter of coffee. Our target is just to get people to try a new kind of coffee.”
The Embassy held another workshop introducing its tourism market and a gala called5 “Peru Mucho Gusto”.
