(VOVworld) –The Vietnam film festival has opened in New Delhi as part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership.

Addressing the opening ceremony on Thursday night, the Vietnamese Ambassador to India, Ton Sinh Thanh, said that Vietnam has about 400 film production companies making approximately 100 films annually.
Through the event, Ambassador Thanh said he hopes Indian people will learn more about Vietnam, its land and people.
The seven-day festival is screening seven Vietnamese films, including Yen’s Life, When Will October Come, and Wild Rice Field. It also features a contemporary photo and painting exhibition and art performances by a Vietnamese troupe.
