Vietnamese footballers head to Qatar for U23 Asian Cup
(VOVWORLD) -The U23 Vietnam national football team on Monday left for Qatar, where they will compete in the 2024 AFC U23 Championship.

Vietnam’s U23s will start by play a friendly match against Jordan’s U23s on Wednesday.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan will finalize a list of 23 players to officially play in the finals on April 16, one day before their opening match against U23 Kuwait.
Vietnam has been placed in Group D alongside Uzbekistan, Kuwait and Malaysia.
Vietnam’s official opening match will be against Kuwait on April 17, followed by games against Malaysia on April 20, and U23 Uzbekistan on April 23.
Qatar’s 2024 AFC U23 Asian Cup finals will run from April 15 to May 3.
The top three teams in the Asian U23 tournament will secure direct qualification to the 2024 Paris Olympics. The fourth-placed team will compete against the fourth place team from the African U23 tournament for the remaining spot.
