Vietnamese in Cambodia, Algeria celebrate Lunar New Year 2017

At a New Year gathering with the Vietnamese community in Cambodia on Thursday, Ambassador Du affirmed the Vietnam’s policy of considering overseas Vietnamese an integral part of the Vietnamese nation. Du said that over the years, the Vietnamese Party and State have consistently helped overseas Vietnamese to develop and contribute to their homeland.
At a ceremony to celebrate Lunar New Year Festival on Thursday in Algeria, Vietnamese Ambassador Pham Quoc Tru said 2017 will mark 55 years of Vietnam-Algeria diplomatic ties. Ambassador Tru spoke highly of the contribution made by the Vietnamese community in Algeria, and expressed his hope that overseas Vietnamese will continue to boost the friendship between Vietnam and Algeria.
