(VOVworld) – The Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly Chairman, and the Prime Minister of Vietnam have sent a message of condolence to Lao leaders for the plane crash on Saturday, which killed a number of Lao senior party and government officials. The message said that this was a huge loss to the party, state, national assembly and government of Laos and that Vietnamese leaders and people have lost some comrades and friends, who contributed significantly to the special friendship between the two countries. Vietnam believes that the party, state and people of Laos will quickly overcome this loss to continue developing the nation. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defese Douangchay Phichit, Minister of Public Security Thongbanh Sengaphone, Party Secretary Chuang Sombounkhan, and other senior officials died in the accident.
