(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos on Friday held a banquet to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the National Day on September 2.

Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung hailed the historical significance of the day when President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence 74 years ago, founding the Democratic Republic of Viet Nam. The Declaration is an important document of the Vietnamese Party and nation in the history of struggle for independence and freedom while emphasizing on Vietnamese people’s wish for quality, rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Ambassador reiterated Vietnam’s special respect of its bilateral relations and comprehensive cooperation with Laos.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan held a celebration during which Ambassador Vu Hong Nam recalled the glorious history of the Vietnamese people’s struggle for independence and freedom as well as their recent social economic progress and development in bilateral ties between Vietnam and Japan.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Brasilia held a reception earlier this week with the participation of nearly 300 guests from the Parliament, government, the diplomatic corps and representatives of local Vietnamese community. Leaders of the Communist Party of Brazil, Houses of the Parliament and state governors sent congratulation messages to the Embassy on this occasion.
