Vietnamese naval delegation visits China

(VOVWORLD) - High-ranking officers of Vietnam People’s Navy, led by Rear Admiral Pham Van Vung, will be in China until Saturday at the invitation of Vice Admiral Qin Shengxiang, Political Commissar of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy.

The delegation held talks with Vice Admiral Qin and visited the Dalian Maritime University and the destroyer 119. They also learned about China’s Party-related work, particularly political education in China’s army and navy.

Both sides acknowledged that cooperation and friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese armies and navies have grown robustly to become a pillar of Vietnam-China relations. They agreed to strengthen the ties and tackle disagreements in line with common conceptions of the two Parties, States and army leaders to sustain security, peace, and stability in the region.
