(VOVworld) – Discussions in Hanoi on Monday treated the audience to stories by reporters who spent 25 days on a fisheries surveillance ship in Hoang Sa waters and people who live on Vietnam’s frontier islands. Doctor Tran Cong Truc, former chief of the Government Border Committee, reviewed developments in the East Sea and public opinions about the dispute to spark patriotism in Vietnamese youth. The Youth Union took this occasion to launch a program encouraging young people to work harder for national construction and defense.
